As far as my application noted above, I recently measured the clearances.
Bushing Clearance. Typically bearing internal clearance is defined as the total distance through which one ring can be moved radially (radial internal clearance) or axially (axial internal clearance) in relation to the other ring under a defined measuring load. In the case of bushings, this is not stump grinding friendswood. Since bushings are of single piece construction, any clearance found would be from the radial movement of the shaft that rides within the bushing.
Dec 23, I would assume that the grease zerk is in the middle of the bush, so you should have to push the grease only 3 1/4", however, your also pushing it through a" space, which I would think is too small.
That would probably be a good oil clearance, but depending on the viscosity of the grease you're using, that could be to little. Jul 06, I would prefer that the maximum clearance between the dowel pin OD and the bushing ID is not over" but I may be able to get away with".
I would like to use a high pressure grease to lube the bushing and shaft, but how small can my clearance be before it won't allow the grease to go and/or stay between the shaft OD and the bushing ID, or. Second; always put grease clearance cuts in the pin, on the side ninety degrees to the worn areas.
